Receive a lot of unsolicited email from spammer? Its waste of time reading those spam e-mail that get into your mailbox. Survey shows that up to 20% of online time are wasted by spam mails (The rest is Face Book and My Space). If you are an employer, definately you dont want that to happen within your organization and allow your employee to waste their time on checking spam mail too!

Now you can activate email filtering feature to block those nasty spam mails from entering your mailbox. From cpanel and mail manager section, you will find two very useful tools; boxtrapper & spamassassin.

BoxTrapper protects your inbox from spam by forcing all people not on your white list to reply to a verifcation email before they can send mail to you.

Spam Assassin
SpamAssassin is an automated mail filter that uses a wide range of heuristic algorithms on email headers and message bodies to identify “SPAM” (unsolicited email). SpamAssassin is designed to identify and mark emails that score beyond your threshold value. An email’s SpamAssassin score is the sum of values given to certain known spam characteristics.

By activating boxtrapper or spam assassin, or both, you can block most of the spam mail from entering your mailbox. Its an effective way to block spams, i use it for my mailbox as well. And its good. From my finding, i managed to reduce spam from 10-15 spam mail to 0-1 spam mail once in a few days.
